Location: North Sound Christian School in Shoreline 2000 NE Perkins Way, Shoreline Just two exits north Northgate Shopping center
The
Northgate and Alderwood Shopping Malls are located near by: MAP.
Students
will play chess while you shop!
We will play Bughouse and Blitz
mini-tournaments with trophies and medals, practice games, and learn cool
openings for upcoming tournaments
GROUPS: (Some students might be placed up or down)
Beginners: will work on basic chess
techniques.
Players with
little or no chess experience. In the morning classes these students will learn
moves, rules, captures, and checkmates.
Advanced Beginners: Rating 500-700
Students with some tournament experience and chess club
participation, one year or less.
Students will work on basic openings and strategies.
Intermediate Level: Rating 800-900: Players with 2+ years of experience
Advanced Level: Rating
950 and up, or 1000 and up for younger students
Intermediate and advanced players
will learn cool openings and tricky strategies for upcoming scholastic
tournaments.
CLASSES:
Morning Classes : Study Class 1 9:00 a.m. to 12:00.
For classes please see description above. Students will play Bughouse and blitz during the breaks
Afternoon Classes: Practice Class 2: 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm Bughouse
and blitz mini-tournaments. with trophies and medals. G/30 practice games
Lunch break for the full day students will be from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm
FEE: $27 one morning or afternoon,
or $45 a full day;
$210 a week; $120 half-day-week; $130 – 3 full days $75 – 3halfday week; 10%
discount second child.
