ABOUT CHESS ACADEMY CLASSES

Our class size is limited (eight in the beginners group, up to 12 kids in the advanced), to ensure the highest quality of instruction. Majority of the classes will be taught by Grandmaster Elena Donaldson, Three Time US Women’s Champion and International Master Georgi Orlov, 1994 US Open Champion. Please see the attached schedule for the list of the classes we offer.

As always, we will be using Chess Academy curriculum developed by Georgi and Elena, based on 40+ years of combined teaching experience. http://www.chessplayer.com/view_workbooks.php

We have curriculum for all levels, and a special curriculum for youngest kids of 4.5 to 6 years old, taught only by Grandmaster Elena. Our youngest students achieve rating 800 and higher in 9 to 12 months.

More classes will be added in the future. Please inquire if you are interested in classes not described here.

Chess Academy instructors – instructors trained by Coach Elena. They will follow Chess Academy curriculum and activities under direct supervision of Coach Elena.

HOMEWORK:

Please note that homework is very important for student’s improvement. However, we offer some classes without homework, to give students the opportunity to start working on chess at their pace. We will give you an option of homework that can be provided free or purchased separately when a student is ready to do additional work at home.

MISSED CLASSES: We have classes with a limited number of students. In case of a missed class we cannot guarantee there is a space in a different class open for replacement. In case of a missed class we will provide some free materials for homework or arrange a short free consultation over the phone.

REFUNDS: NO REFUNDS for classes if cancelled less than 5 bus days before the class date.
